She also commended “Aspirations Education” for the role they have played so far and the service they have rendered to the students for the past decade.

Introducing their vision, Aspirations Education Chairman, Mr. Ajith Abeysekera specified “At this crucial juncture in our country, providing genuine career guidance and counseling to students keeping their interests and aspirations at heart, is all important in giving hope to a new generation through a sound education and no amount of hard work such as organizing “AIEE 2016”, would be superfluous in carrying this out. It is, in fact, the only way to chart a new beginning for Sri Lanka. One main aim of organizing the exhibition was to inform students who can afford to look for higher education options in universities and institutes abroad the correct path, otherwise they can be misinformed due to a lack of proper channels to disseminate relevant and accurate information”.

The event attracted more than 2000 visitors over the two days. Keen students and their parents who visited the event reaped the benefits of the exhibition by exploring the study options available for them in internationally accredited and highly reputed universities and higher education institutes. The exhibition catered to the needs of these enthusiastic students by providing a unique opportunity to have ‘one on one’ interviews with the university representatives. This provided an exclusive platform for students to gain information on a wide range of areas such as study programmes, career opportunities, living cost and facilities, availability of accommodation, transport and other practical aspects pertaining to studying abroad.

The special features of this year’s exhibition included a unique station on Engineering at RMIT University Vietnam campus which offers pathways to their prestigious campus in Melbourne, Australia. They featured a special workshop on 9th July for those who are fully focused to become future Engineers which provided an understanding on career prospects in the field of engineering, advantages in studying in Vietnam and how to build your future with an engineering career. The Exhibition also introduced a new range of options for students to study in world class universities at lower cost, which includes options for transfer, and scholarships.
