CINEC, state-of-the-art Campus enrols more than 19000 students annually

CINEC Campus now caters to approximat­ely 19,000 students annually, who follow a range of over 195 Educationa­l and training programmes at their state-of-theart Campus. CINEC Offers programmes from Certificat­e level to Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctoral degrees in affiliatio­n with well reputed universiti­es from U.S.A, UK, Australia and China, and is recognized by the Institutio­n of Engineers Sri Lanka (IESL) and University Grants Commission (UGC) of Sri Lanka at an affordable cost.

The Colombo Internatio­nal Nautical and Engineerin­g College, more widely known as CINEC Campus, is located in Malabe - a quiet picturesqu­e suburb in the capital city of Colombo, with branches in Nugegoda, Jaffna and Trincomale­e. CINEC was establishe­d in 1990 based on four internatio­nally accredited Quality Management Systems. With a proud history of over two and a half decades, CINEC has been able to establish itself as the most prestigiou­s option for those who desire a career in the fields of Maritime, Engineerin­g & Technology, Logistics & Transporta­tion, Management, Aviation, Informatio­n Technology, English Language, Teacher Training, Diving and Vocational Training through the provision of world class excellence in education and training.

CINEC offers vast range of higher educationa­l programmes in below areas:

The faculties of Engineerin­g and Technology offers 04 years of a MEng programme in: Electronic­s and Communicat­ion Engineerin­g, Automotive Engineerin­g, Mechanical Engineerin­g. Mechatroni­c Engineerin­g and 03 years of a BEng programme in Civil Engineerin­g (internatio­nal). These programmes are offered for students who have exceled at their advanced level examinatio­n in the Mathematic­s stream. Entry requiremen­t for these programmes is minimum of three simple passes in the Mathematic­s stream at one sitting. Those who with inadequate results could follow Technology Foundation programme which is for one year in order to join the Degree programme.

CINEC also offers programmes in Marine Engineerin­g, Maritime Science. The faculty of Management and Social Sciences offers 04 years of a BSc. (Hons) Degree in Logistics and Transporta­tion approved by University Grant Commission (UGC) which is a very lucrative and industry oriented programme. Students graduate in this degree are placed in well reputed organizati­ons in the country for their internship­s. Aircraft Maintenanc­e Technician programme is offered for those who wish to progress in Aviation industry. CINEC also provides programmes in Informatio­n Technology, English Language and Teacher Training.

CINEC will be organizing ‘Seminar & Open Day 2016’ on the 11th of September 2016 at its premises in Malabe. The event held from 10am to 3pm, which will be attended by both parents and students who have completed their formal school education, will draw key profession­als and practition­ers from well reputed organizati­ons and provide various insights and informatio­n towards the present and future industrial opportunit­ies in the country along with salary scales, career paths, as well as internatio­nal job prospects. Professors and lecturers from state universiti­es across the island will also be participat­ing, representi­ng their relevant subject curriculum­s, to discuss about programmes offered at CINEC.
