Dr. Bandusena Ranasinghe mostly known as Dr. Bandu Ranasinghe who hails from Southern Sri Lanka is the Founder Chairman of the IDM Group of Companies. He is another proud product of University of Peradeniya. Dr. Bandu Ranasinghe holds the degrees of B.Sc, MBA, Ph.D, FCS, MACS, FBCS and is also an adjunct Associate Professor for the Charles Sturt University, Australia. He was the founder Chairman of the British Computer Society – Sri Lanka, Ex General Secretary and Ex Chairman of Computer Society of Sri Lanka. He started his services to the National IT industry well over 4 decades ago in 1974 and IDM was born as the dream child of Dr. Bandu Ranasinghe.
When you hear IDM, you know what, where and everything of it as the IDM has built its respected name during last four decades providing Information and Communication Technology education and training to the nation, with over 25 branches island-wide covering all the provinces in the country. This provides the opportunity for local students to obtain an Internationally Recognized and Quality Assured diploma, at an affordable price in Sri Lanka. NCC was established in 1966, as the National Computing Center of UK under the guidance of the British government and started providing IT education in 1976.
