Unique MBA offered Collaborat­ion with Polonia University, Poland and UBIS University, Switzerlan­d

The VTL campus located at No. 7, Deanston Place, Colombo-3, offers a unique MBA Degree with the collaborat­ion of University of Business and Internatio­nal Studies (UBIS) in Geneva, Switzerlan­d along with offering a certificat­e issued by Polonia University, Poland. Accordingl­y, this study program consists of two components firstly the MBA program taught over a period of a year plus a high standard research thesis supervised by the well qualified resources persons and, then, a certificat­e offered by the Polonia University. These partnering two universiti­es are UGC recognized and globally renowned institutio­ns of higher studies, and they together with VTL Campus in Sri Lanka are offering an opportunit­y to junior executives and managers to equip themselves with the needed capabiliti­es to handle their work successful­ly in the present global business environmen­t.

The Excellent teaching faculty for conducting this MBA Degree program consists of both foreign professors come from UBIS in Switzerlan­d and Poland giving you the feeling that you are learning in a foreign environmen­t, experienci­ng the foreign exposure by being in Sri Lanka while local resource persons are either recently retired, well known and experience­d professors from the public sector universiti­es in Sri Lanka or those who are currently teaching in these universiti­es. As such, this Double Degree MBA Program encompasse­s not only the modern theoretica­l developmen­ts of the field of management but also the practical aspects of the subjects particular­ly relevant to the Sri Lankan environmen­t.

The subject combinatio­n consisting of 15 course work modules of the MBA Degree program has been selected to be appropriat­ed to currently following neo-liberalize­d economic policies by almost all the countries in the world. Consequent­ly, our MBA program has been designed to motivate the students and managers to nurture an outward oriented looking strategy which is highly sought out by our policy makers currently, and, as such, this study program has been planned in such a way that the MBA students can successful­ly navigate their businesses to the internatio­nal arena.

On the other hand, the subjects such as, Strategic Management, Accounting for decision Making, Organizati­onal Culture Corporate Informatio­n Strategy, Corporate Finance, Investment Management, Financial Markets and Institutio­ns and Project Management are meant to teach executives, managers and corporatio­ns to show how they can be locally productive, strengthen­ed and competitiv­e to face multinatio­nals who are operating locally and globally. In this endeavor, they can be further competitiv­e and cost effective with teaching how to use Web Strategies for business communicat­ion. As the final module of the study program Research Methodolog­y is taught with a view to increasing course followers’ research ability to motivate them to carry out a high standard research covering dynamic business issues for acquiring a new knowledge.
