-

“Helping families in their quest for Higher Education”

Future Minds, the premier Higher Educational and Career Exhibition will have the final phase of its 11th instalment at Galle from 3rd to 4th September. The venue for the Galle edition will be the Galle Town Hall, providing easy access to major cities and suburbs centred around Galle.

2016 Trail: The official launch for the expo was held at the Cinnamon Grand back on the 30th of March with Honourable Eran Wickramaratne, Deputy Minister of Public Enterprise Development gracing the occasion as the Chief Guest. The Deputy Minister speaking on private higher education stressed that on the subject of reforming higher education the door has to be opened for legitimised private higher education in the island. The Colombo edition was conducted at the BMICH, while the Kandy edition was held at the Kandy City Centre and they saw a highly successful conclusion.

The Composition: The expo keenly looked forward to by students hopeful of higher education, reached its decade completion milestone in 2015. The Galle exhibition will host around 45 institutions with close to 60 stalls. These will consist of higher educational institutes including universities from countries such as the UK, Australia, Singapore, USA, Malaysia, New Zealand, India and more. A wide section of students will benefit from the Galle exposition in the form of career guidance, information on various higher education pathways and financial assistance for various degrees and courses. The exhibition hopes to bring good values to all the stake holders of Future Minds that include students aspiring for higher education and their parents at the top.

Focused on Higher Education: Future Minds, identifies and promotes the notion that education is the foundation on which a successful career can be built on. This is in contrast to seeking job opportunities without a solid academic foundation. To support this, the expo has streamlined various categories of higher education and eliminated distractions. The exhibition is highly focused on the education aspect of building careers with the strong belief that a solid foundation with high quality academic qualifications is the key to success.

Family based decision making: Future Minds will concentrate on the family based theme so that students visiting the exhibition will benefit from the maturity, experience and consensus of a parent in choosing a higher education path. Future Minds encourages both parents and the students to visit the expo together, explore, review and weigh the available options which would then prepare them well, to commit to the optimal choice. The private higher education fraternity is lined up and is ready to offer the best of their recognized and affordable graduate and post graduate programmes at the exhibition.

Southern students benefit: It is a known fact that the Southern province produces high rankers in the Advanced Level examinations. However Galle and the Southern province as a whole are restricted in access to resources for career planning. Future Minds fills this gap and brings a synergetic forum to the Southern capital. Students in major cities in the Southern province including Galle and Matara have this not to be missed opportunity coming in September. The time is right to ponder higher education for the students of the South with Future Minds Galle 2016.

Future Minds invites families with students aspiring for higher education to visit Future Mind 2016 in their new journey of a “Brand new decade” and benefit from the vast opportunities present at the expo. Further information may be found
