UK increases Chevening Scholarships for Sri Lanka

The United Kingdom (UK) has increased the number of Chevening Scholarships for Sri Lanka, for the second consecutive year, the British High Commission (HC) said.

The increase in awards was announced at a reception hosted at the British HC’s residence on September 1, where 8 Sri Lankan scholars were presented certificates.

This year’s scholars will travel to the UK on fully funded Scholarships to read for 1 year Masters courses in Politics, Environmental Design & Engineering, Finance, International Business & Management, Law, Development & Globalisation and Gender Studies, the HC said in a press release.

"These scholarships represent a significant investment from the UK government to help develop the next generation of leaders in Sri Lanka," the HC added.
