About Medical education in Moscow -the grand capital of Russia

Russia (formerly USSR) has been a very affordable and popular international destination for foreign medical students from Asia, Africa, Latin America and Europe for more than 50 years. Such students who came mostly from developing countries were studying in Russia on free scholarships during the USSR times. As a response to international demand, some universities of Russia introduced English Medium medical degree programs on fee levying basis since 1990, attracting enormous numbers of international students during the last 25 years or so.

The foremost among them are the following three universities in Moscow which offer outstanding medical education to foreign students at an affordable tuition fee which are lower in comparison with those in other countries on the one hand and the standards of education and training are of high level on the other hand. Thus these 3 universities have become more attractive to international medical students and are very competitive among the clan of international medical universities. They also remain to be leading institutions in Medical studies in Russia. The books and textbooks issued in Russian language been translated into dozens of languages including English. The degrees awarded by these universities have gained global recognition and topped UNESCO and WHO ratings
