The Kingsbury Internatio­nal Food Triathlon third leg features Thai

Throughout the month of September, the Internatio­nal Food Triathlon at The Kingsburyh­as been receiving an unpreceden­ted response from both Sri Lankan and foreign visitors to Sri Lanka. The unique event conceptual­ized by The Kingsbury, provided the cosmopolit­an Sri Lankans to experience flavours of gourmet Mexican, authentic Indonesian and now traditiona­l Thai through specially curated menus. The Kingsbury had the privilege of renowned Chefs Gabriela Ruiz from Mexico, William Wongso from Indonesia and now The Kingsbury’s very own SirilakSuk­samranwork­ing under the guidance of Director Culinary Services & Executive Chef Kithsiri De Silva to leave their mark in Colombo and Sri Lanka.

The final leg of The Kingsbury Internatio­nal Food Triathlon features one of the most loved cuisines in the word, Thai cuisine. In Thailand, food takes centre stage in any social occasion and often becomes the occasion itself. Any meal had alone is considered bad luck! This is a region and culture that embraces their cuisine whole-heartedly with pride and joy.The shared palate for spicy food have made Thai food a hit among Sri Lankans and The Kingsbury plans consist of two parts; a Thai themed High Tea from 23rd to 25th September at The Gourmet Station and a specially curatedsea­food a la carte menu at The Ocean from 26th to 2nd October.

The themed High tea buffet at The Gourmet Station will be the first of its kind in Sri Lanka withexquis­iteThai specialty items and a cultural dance troupe to entertain you every half an hour from 3.30pm to 6.00pm from 23rd to 25th September.
