OET opens its first test venue in Sri Lanka with ACBT

OET, the English language test for healthcare profession­als, will be available at a new venue from November 2016. The new Sri Lanka test venue will be managed by the Australian College of Business and Technology in Colombo

OET (Occupation­al English Test) is an Australian­developed English language test which assesses language communicat­ion skills of healthcare profession­als. It provides assessment of all four language skills – listening, reading, writing and speaking – through test material designed to reflect real healthcare scenarios.

ACBT Executive Director Erath Karunaratn­e said “ACBT is proud to partner with Cambridge English, Boxhill Institute and the OET Team to introduce the Occupation­al English Test (OET) for the first time in Sri Lanka. We are positive that OET will be a huge success and a key contributo­r to the healthcare industry in Sri Lanka. ACBT Manager - English Department, Dr Thilini Abeypala said: “We are privileged to become the first test venue for OET in Sri Lanka.
