Light and heat from the sun can be converted into electricity using photovoltaic (PV) solar panels installed on the roof. This electricity enables powering electrical items through a control device fitted to the system. The electrical equipments can directly plug in to the outlets after the electric energy is allowed to pass through a breaker box to outlets in the building.
Solar energy is one of the the newest trends in renewable energy category which has a fast growing potential in the industry. It can be introduced as an environmentally sustainable approach with long run benefits. Solar energy provides energy without toxic emissions. It can reduce congestion on the power grid and can provides electricity during peak hours. Solar energy helps to reduce the dependence on imported energy and is an excellent opportunity to create public-private partnerships in the industry. It can also create local industries ‘’hightech’’ and will improve energy security (Decentralization). Another key benefit of solar energy is that it can be used as a cost effective technology in the modern industrial arena. Simply, solar energy is a smart investment for energy efficient homes and businesses.
