-

Not everyone has the craze for adventure, the patience for problem solving or the courage to do things out of the ordinary. But if you are one of them, Tata GenX Nano Conquer Colombo should get you excited.

It’s an award winning project, organized for the 4th consecutive year by the Rotaract Club of Achievers Lanka Business School. It’s Sri Lanka’s largest quest that spans across Colombo, and throws at you an array of activities, both challenging and entertaining. The event this year is set to feature a participation of over 200 teams, competing for the grand prize of 4 return air tickets to Singapore, sponsored by Sri Lankan airlines. The participants will be given clues, which will take them around Colombo, locating monuments and completing challenges. From gobbling down food and shooting at targets to navigating mazes and dancing in public, there are endless surprises that await the contestants. Adding to that, the thrill of solving riddles to identify locations, and the rush to complete all within the stipulated time, Tata GenX Nano Conquer Colombo is sure to bring out the adventurer in you.

The grandeur of the event has attracted the sponsorship of some of the biggest companies in Sri Lanka – including the Title Sponsor Tata GenX Nano and several others including Sri Lankan Airlines, Seylan Bank, Buffalo Energy drink, Iflix and more, who will each add their twist to the event. The Italian Car Enthusiasts club will be on location on the event day to rev up the adrenaline. So prepare to feast your eyes, up close and personal, to some of the most glamourous Italian cars to hit the streets of Colombo – including Ferrari, Lamborghini and Maserati. Following a day of action and adventure, the day winds down to Melomanic sessions, that will entertain you at the closing ceremony.

To spice things up, there are several sub categories you can compete for including the Best Themed Team and the Funkiest Ride. If you want to compete with a team of 4 girls, there’s also an award for the highest scoring all girls team. In addition to the return air tickets, there’s plenty of other prizes on offer for the top ranked teams, including full board accommodation at Jetwing Hotels, vouchers from leading outlets and thousands worth of cash prizes.

Profits arising from the project would be utilized to fund the club’s biggest community service initiative “Project Life” which aims to fund the installment of several Rain Water Harvesting Systems in areas which are most affected by the Chronic Kidney Disease in the North Central Province.

The project is to be held on Sunday the 29th of January 2017, starting from Nelum Pokuna at 10 AM. So head out to www.conquercolombo.com/register, to register your team of 4 for the event.
