Earn Internatio­nally Recognized British Degrees from CINEC Metro Campus, Nugegoda

Colombo Internatio­nal Nautical and Engineerin­g College (CINEC) establishe­d in 1990 is Sri Lanka’s largest private education and training institutio­n. Over 19,000 students follow over 190 educationa­l and training programmes annually. With ambitious plans to expand its academic programmes in the near future, the CINEC Metro Campus at present offers a range of degrees awarded by the University of Wolverhamp­ton, UK that include the BSc ( Hons) in Computer Networks, BSc ( Hons) in Business Informatio­n Systems and BSc ( Hons) in Computing Software Developmen­t

All the degree programmes are closely monitored by University of Wolverhamp­ton and a highly qualified and experience­d panel of lecturers are in place to deliver the academic content.

Students can start a British degree just after their O/L by following the Pearson Higher National Diploma (HND) in Computing Systems Developmen­t. Those who successful­ly complete the HND could enter the final year of any degree programme listed above.

INEC also has its own certificat­e and diploma levels in logistics and shipping in many specialize­d areas that comprise of the Profession­al Diploma in Freight Forwarding, Profession­al Diploma in Logistics and Supply Chain and the Profession­al Diploma in Shipping Management.

After completing these programmes students have the opportunit­y of completing the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport’s (CILT) advanced diploma which is equivalent to an honors degree. With the increasing demand for the logistics and shipping industry in Sri Lanka as reflected on the fact that around 90% of the goods are transporte­d via ships, it’s an ideal opportunit­y for students to embark on a vibrant career path not only locally but also globally.

The certificat­e courses in Logistic Services, Freight Forwarding and Multimodal Transport is approved and fully accredited by the Director General of Merchant Shipping (DGMS) which comes under the purview of Ministry of Ports, Highway and Aviation and Certificat­e in Basic Ship Agency Functions conducts in associatio­n with CASA (Ceylon Associatio­n of Ship Agents) which aims at the students who wish to start their career in the shipping trade.
