Sanga launches the Sunday Times - Dialog Schoolboy Cricketer Awards

The Dialog 4G-the Sunday Times Schoolboy Cricketer of the Year 2017 was officially launched at the Auditorium of Dialog Axiata at Union Place, Colombo on Wednesday with distinguis­hed invitees making their presence at the event. Sri Lanka's most celebrated and iconic cricketer, Kumar Sangakkara made his presence as the chief guest of the event to kick-start the most looked-forward-for programme that gives due recognitio­n to Under-19 schoolboy cricketers for their performanc­es at school and internatio­nal games.

Sangakkara, a former Sri Lanka skipper and now a Brand Ambassador of Dialog, is an ardent supporter of junior cricket and is a willing character who imparts his wealth of knowledge of the game, willingly and happily. Representi­ng Dialog Axiata, Rozy Laxana- the Vice President, Group Marketing, Amali Nanayakkar­athe Group Chief Marketing Officer, Asanga Priyadarsh­anaHead of Business, Mobile Communicat­ions and Harsha Samaranaya­keGeneral Manager, Brand and Media, Group Marketing were present to make the event vibrant. The Dialog 4G-the Sunday Times Schoolboy Cricketer of the Year 2017 is now on course with the Most Popular Schoolboy Cricketer contest, under three categories, in progress. The Dialog 4G-the Sunday Times Schoolboy Cricketer of the Year 2017 takes the traditiona­l competitio­n to a higher level with the introducti­on of digital and social media.
