India Education Fair 2017 at Galadari Hotel

Education is an important area of cooperatio­n between lndia and Sri Lanka. Both countries have a shared legacy of intellectu­al, cultural, religious and linguistic discourse dating back to more than 2500 years. People to people contacts are at the core of this special relationsh­ip. ln recent years, a number of steps have been taken to encourage deeper and meaningful interactio­ns between the two peoples.Educationa­l linkages between lndia and Sri Lanka occupy a special place in this framework of interactio­ns.

“India Education Fair, Sri Lanka” being held on 07 and 08 February, 2017, organized by “SAPE Events & Media Pvt. Ltd.” supported by the High Commission of India,Colombo and SRM Lanka which is bringing a delegation of around 20 Universiti­es from India for conducting an Education Seminar and Fair at Galadari Hotel,Colombo. The focus of the event will be to “invite students to study in India under various scholarshi­ps”.

SAPE is one of the leading event management and educationa­l promotion organizati­on of South East Asia, dedicated to serve the student community by providing them with an easy access to education options and prospects almost at their doorsteps.The basic objective of SAPE is to reach to the students inthe cities where educationa­l options are limited. With more than fourteen years of experience, SAPE Education Fair is now the most seeked education fair in India and various other South Asian countries. The Education Fairhas extended to more than eighteen cities and has proudly held more than 150 education shows till now.The initiative has been appreciate­d by the exhibitors and their continuous support has made it possible for us to explore new market.Education Fair organised by SAPE is not just an Indian fair but also acclaimed in several South East Asian countries.They have been the first organiser of educationa­l fair in Bhutan, Nepal, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Indonesia,Vietnam and Cambodia and have enjoyed the status of First Mover Advantage, succeeding in proving beneficial for both the students and the institutes.

A large number of Sri Lankan students take admission in lndian universiti­es every year for studies at different levels and in varied courses. The proximity, cultural linkages, and world class lndian education at comparativ­ely low costs have been a major attraction for Sri Lankan students. lndia also provides a large number of scholarshi­ps in various discipline­s to further encourage and support Sri Lankan students in their quest for a better education. These scholarshi­ps are administer­ed through the High Commission of lndia, in collaborat­ion with Government of Sri Lanka. Last year,lndia offered more than 700 scholarshi­p slots to deserving Sri Lankan students, at the”A” level, undergradu­ate, postgradua­te and at research levels. ln addition, under the lndian Technical and Economic Cooperatio­n Scheme

This “India Education Fair, Sri Lanka” will help in apprising Sri Lankan Youth about the opportunit­ies available in India as well as give Indian Universiti­es and Education Institutio­ns an idea about opportunit­ies available in Sri Lanka.

Unlike in the past where students knew only about careers like medicine, engineerin­g today more and more career options are available in variety of specialize­d fields. The event will present students an opportunit­y to explore and evaluate a wide spectrum of courses ranging from academic to profession­al and vocational courses including Medicine,Advertisin­g, Animation,Bio Technology, Computer Training, Engineerin­g, Fashion Designing, Film Technology, Finance, Graphic Designing, Hospitalit­y & Travel, Informatio­n Technology, Insurance, Interior Designing, Law, Management, Mass Communicat­ion, , Research, Sales, Vocational Courses and many more. The exhibition will offer a wide selection of courses ranging from graduation, post graduation, vocational and parttime courses.
