The growing popularity for this programme is due to the fact that the student following this programme would be able to save time and cost to a great extent. Supposedly, if a student who is 15 years of age joins ACBT, it would only take him/her approximately 3 and half years to complete the pre- foundation (certificate 3), university foundation (level 4) and Double major Bachelor’s degree hence the student could graduate before he turns 20.

The pre-foundation is an 8 month programme and is a pathway for students without G.C.E. O/L qualifications to enter university foundation upon successful completion. Any student above 15 years of age can join this programme. There are six units in this programme and are diverse subjects in nature. This is to enable the student to be competent in diverse areas and to gain a sound knowledge to be able to pursue world class degrees with great confidence.

The pre foundation offers its students an astonishing 408 in-class study hours. Therefore, students will have an unfair advantage of being able to be confident and level up to the next stages of study swiftly. Units such as Basic Mathematics, Academic English, Business Studies, Information and Communication Technology, Science and Technology and Social Studies are some of the diverse units that are being offered by this pre foundation. Another unique feature of this programme is that ACBT offers individual attention to each student by a well-qualified lecturer panel and therefore their success rate would drastically increase.
