Club Bentota 'A' too good 2nd year running
Hosts Club Bentota 'A' retained their Travel Trade Sports Club (TTSC) Beach Volleyball title for 2016 for the 2nd year running, when they beat their 'C' team in the 'Cup' Championship final, in the 10th edition of the tournament concluded at Paradise Island, Aluthgama, last Saturday.
The tournament was sponsored for the 5th successive year by the Mt. Lavinia Hotels Group and was hosted by Club Bentota, Aluthgama.
Club Hotel Dolphin, Waikkala, won the 'Plate' Championship, beating Club Bentota 'B'.
In a keenly contested 'Bowl' final, which was stretched to 3 sets, Heritance Ayurveda Mahagedera, Beruwala beat Avani Bentota .
14 teams participated in 4 Groups in 2 Stages, giving a total of 29 matches, including the 3 finals.
