Grade 1 admissions to WP schools unjust to waiting-list students: CTU

The Ceylon Teachers’ Union (CTU) said that, 2017 Grade 1 admissions to popular schools in the Western Province (WP) are done based on the recommendations of WP Councillors, causing an injustice to students in the waiting list.

They said that, by doing so, other small schools are at risk of closure, while the country's Education system is also affected adversely.
