More scope for Private Education, Entry opportunit­ies to State Universiti­es and its Facilities

“Present Government of Sri Lanka is aiming to Increase the opportunit­ies for Private Education while improving the Entry opportunit­ies to State Universiti­es and its Facilities”, Lakshman Kiriella, Minister of Higher Education and Highways stated participat­ing as the Chief Guest of the 10th Anniversar­y Celebratio­n of Australian Business Education Center (Pvt) Ltd (ABEC Consultant­s). The event was held on 03rd April 2017 at Oak Room, Cinnamon Grand Hotel, with the participat­ion of Lakshman Kiriella - Minister of Higher Education and Highways, Arundika Fernando - Deputy Minister of Tourism Developmen­t and Christian Religious Affairs and other Parliament­arians, Diplomats, Representa­tives from Australian Trade and Business Commission, Representa­tives from Foreign Universiti­es and Principals of Government schools and Officials in the Higher Education Field.

Professor Akitoshi Miyashita, Dean of English Track Degree Program, Tokyo Internatio­nal University - Japan, being the Guest of Honor of the event, gave a descriptiv­e understati­ng on the higher education opportunit­ies in Japan.

Establishe­d in 2006, Australian Business Education Center (Pvt) Ltd has grown to be one of the trusted foreign higher education consultanc­ies in Sri Lanka. Since then over 1000 Sri Lankan students guided by them, have successful­ly graduated and secured lucrative employment­s globally. At present they represent nearly 100 educationa­l institutes from Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, UK, USA and Cyprus and many students were able to obtain scholarshi­ps under the guidance of Australian Business Education Center (Pvt) Ltd.

While celebratin­g the achievemen­ts Australian Business Education Center (Pvt) Ltd has made over a decade, “Hotel Grand Serendib”, the newest addition to ABEC Leisure (Pvt) Ltd (a member of ABEC Group), was also launched during the ceremony by Lakshman Kiriella and Arundika Fernando. “Hotel Grand Serendib” – Set to open in 2018, with a Luxury getaway to the heart of the historical city of Kandy with “Warmer Welcome” for its guests with seamless benefits and memorable experience. The project investment worth Rs. 300 million, with a unique vision to develop hospitalit­y and tourism industry in Sri Lanka while providing its guests, a world class experience whilst their stay.
