New Vocational Training Centre in Panadura

The Cabinet this week approved setting up a new Vocational Training Centre (VTC) in Panadura, at an estimated cost of Rs 370 million.

This is because, of the 9,000 students in the Kalutara District, who annually leave schools after their O/L and A/L exams, currently, there is provision for only 1,785 to be enrolled into existing VTCs.
