Avurudu celebratio­ns & Hawaiian evening at NCHS

Nawaloka College of Higher studies ( NCHS) celebrated the Sinhala and Tamil New year with a full day event at the picturesqu­e Jetwing Sea hotel in Negombo. The festivitie­s were culminated with an evening of Hawaiian extravagan­za!

The students, staff and management of the college enjoyed a fun filled event as they strengthen­ed friendship­s and rekindles acquaintan­ces. The event gave the opportunit­y for the student, staff and management to mingle in an informal setting, strengthen­ing the bonds of the college.

The event was one of many such events organized by the campus, in order to facilitate camaraderi­e amongst the students and create an environmen­t conducive to holistic education.

Multi Cultural and Global Education Environmen­t

In keeping with the multi cultural environmen­t at the college, NCHS has partnered with twoglobal leaders in education, the Swinburne University of Technology as well as the California State University, Monterey Bay.

This enables NCHS to offer a plethora of subjects to the students. The partnershi­ps will eradicate most of the impediment­s that deter students from studying in Australia and America. When enrolling at NCHS, the student will simultaneo­usly be enrolled at the internatio­nal university of choice.

Swinburne University of Technology

NCHS is a guaranteed pathway to Swinburne University of Technology. Located in Australia as well as in Malaysia, the student has the choice of selecting the destinatio­n according to personal preference as well as budget.

The pathway programs offered from the university are specially designed to prepare students for success in their further studies.

Foundation Year helps students meet the entry requiremen­ts for a bachelor degree

UniLink diplomas provide a direct pathway into the second year of a bachelor degree

California State University, Monterey Bay

In addition to the pro- g rammes of f e red f rom Swinburne, NCHS also has a strong partnershi­p with the California State University, Monterey Bay. The partnershi­p will enable Sri Lankan students to study at CSUMB after completing the first two years in Sri Lanka. Students who join NCHS will directly enroll and be recognized as students of CAL STATE Monterey Bay. They are given the option of choosing to do a degree of their choice on completion of the 2 years at NCHS.

Freshman Year will provide fast tracked entry to a bachelor degree in just 8 months.

Sophomore Year will enable students to thereafter commence the 3rd year of a bachelor degree at CAL STATE, Monterey Bay, USA
