ANC marks the festival of colour

Welcoming the dawn of spring, ANC students celebrated Holi Festival on the 7th of April on the Mount Lavinia beach, smeared in vibrant colors,enjoying the sun and the sea. With the celebrations, ANC marked the Festival of Colors together with the community, sending a message across the country in building relationships through love, play and laughter. The event attracted a huge number of ANC students as well as youth in the vicinity,representing diverse social, religious and ethnic groups, to the Mount Beach. The participants celebrated the coming of spring, playing in the sun, bringing the atmosphere to life with striking colours. Students were seen enthusiastically spraying water with squirt guns and water bal- loons while splashing color on each other with color sprays and color bombs. The ANC Business Club together with the Performing Arts Club of ANC organized the celebrations, incorporating many other games and dance performances to the event, adding to the liveliness of the beach and sharing joy with those who were gathered.

The event organizers of the ANC Student Body took the Holi celebrations one step further by bringing a DJ to keep the day rolling by entertaining the crowd. The music clearly revived the energy of the youth who were exhausted after a day out in the sun. The crowd could not resist but go on dancing to the music till late night, reluctant to let the music stop towrap up a day of fun on the beach.
