Devotees please give helping hand to expand the Patthana Dharma Sabhawa

-

The Patthana Dharma Sabhawa founded by the late Abhidhammika Vagishvara Most Ven. Yagoda Dharmaprabha Nayaka Thera has for the past 56 years propogated the education of Abhidhamma as well as Vipassana meditation. The institution is now under the guidance of the Most Ven. Korathota Wessabhu Thera.

The Sabhawa is located at 487/25, Thimbrigasyaya Road, Narahenpita, Colombo 5 but lacks the space to conduct its planned Sasana development activities. These include: to provide adequate accomodation for the Maha Sangha, to provide facilities for monks who come from far away places to Colombo for medical needs; to provide accomodation for student monks from remote moasteries who enrol at Colombo pirivenas and Buddhist universities; to set up a fully equipped library; to have adequate classroom facilities for more students in Abhidhamma, Pali and Thripitaka education and to provide convenient facilities to conduct regular meditation sessions for busy executives and devotees.

The land and building just adjoining the Aramaya has now been offered to the Patthana Dharma Sabhawa at Rs 90 million and its President, Abhidharmacharya Upul Gamage has appealed to devotees to kindly help to raise this money as it is for the worthy cause of the future enrichment of the Buddha Sasana.
