In 2005, two ‘Artrepreneurs’ Satheesh Kumar and Vinodi Jayawardane decide to challenge this status quo in Sri Lanka by founding the Academy of Multimedia & Design Technology, since then, AMDT has inspired countless young students to create successful creative careers over the past 12 years.

Today, our students are career Fashion Designers, Photographers, Filmmakers, Animators, Game Developers, Graphic Designers, Advertising professionals and Marketers. We have inspired many to turn into ‘Artrepreneurs’ themselves and start up innovative creative businesses.

The internationally renowned Pearson BTEC (previously known as Edexcel) has recognized AMDT as an accredited approved institution. All students are expected to conform to the stringent global standards of Pearson BTEC in the UK. Entry requirements are: 2 passes in A Level qualification Ordinary Level qualification with AMDT Foundation Diploma Ordinary Level with any recognized Foundation qualification Any recognized Diploma or Level 3 qualification Full time work experience with portfolio Students with recognized diploma or certificate in the relevant field will be given credit exemptions based on past results and portfolio review.
