It has trained Medical Specialist­s for foreign countries since 1962 and currently students from more than 50 countries study in the university mainly from India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Africa, China and Canada, USA, Europe etc. There are around 1000 professors and lecturers working in the academic staff of the university and they are world renowned and experience­d tutors. There are 6000 undergradu­ates and 700 post graduates studying under this staff. The University offers rich clinical training at Russian Government Hospitals including regional, Maternity, and pediatrics and surgical etc.

The University has 4 hostels located close to the university and all are well maintained according to the European standard. More than 300 Sri Lankan students are studying at Tver and thisis the second highest number of Sri Lankans studying in Russia than any other country.

Above Medical Universiti­es are recognized by the Sri Lanka Medical Council (SLMC), WHO (World Health Organizati­on), GMC (General Medical Council in UK), USA, Australia and globally. They are funded by the Russian Government and as a result, Sri Lankan students get the opportunit­y to study in Russia for the lowest rate than any other country.

Students do not feel that they are far away from their motherland as all the students are united and helping each other. Cultural events, fun activities, sports and many entertaini­ng events are there to relax both their bodies and minds.

According to the SLMC, a student should get 2C, 1 S( 2 credit passes and 1 simple pass) to register under the SLMC to work as a Doctor in Sri Lanka and other Pre Medical Courses of any Foundation­s courses are not recognized by the SLMC and no one can get the eligibilit­y only with O/L exams. Our Students get the ERPM guidance while they are studying in the university and this helps them to pass the ERPM exam at the first attempt and we are proud to say that our ERPM passing rate is the best than any other Educationa­l providers.
