Holy Cross Kalutara, Carey and St Anthony’s Wattala recorded shocking wins over fancied team in the first round encounters of the Under 17 Division One cricket tournament which is in progress now.

Holy Cross coasted to a comfortabl­e seven wicket win over Ananda while Carey secured a close three wicket win against St Peter’s and St Anthony’s got the better of DSS by seven wickets.

Meanwhile Wesley and Mahanama Panadura continued their winning spree as they maintained their unbeaten record with wins against De La Salle Mutwal and Tissa Central Kalutara.
