Royal Institute of Colombo (RIC)

The Royal Institute of Colombo ( RIC) is the tertiary arm of Royal Institute Pvt (Ltd) but operates as an independen­t institute, providing quality education for over 40 years, since its inception in providing courses for external degrees from University of Colombo and University of Peradeniya. RIC meets societal challenges with diverse knowledge. Multi- faceted students with eminent lecturers and tutors at the heart make RIC an inspiring place to study, with a continuous flow of new knowledge and ideas.

Royal Institute of Colombo (RIC) and University of London (UoL)

Since 1990, RIC functioned as an accredited campus for the prestigiou­s University of London Internatio­nal Programmes, offering Degrees in Law, Economics, Mathemat i c s, Manag ement, Accounting, Finance, Internatio­nal Developmen­t, Inter nat i o n a l Relations and a Certificat­e of Higher Education in Common Law. In addition, Certificat­e of Higher Education in Social Sciences ( CHESS) ) prescribed by the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) is also on offer. We have been accredited the “Affiliate” Status for the University of London, and is the only institute to have this title in the country.

The Internatio­nal Foundation Programme

An Internatio­nal Foundation Programme from the University of London is on offer to post O/L students, who can graduate in a minimum of 4 years. The academic direction for this programme is provided by the prestigiou­s London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).

Master of Laws (LL.M)

The Master of Laws (LL.M) from University of London offers both legal and non-legal profession­als to advance in their career. Queen Mary and University College London (UCL), jointly provide academic management for this programme, offered through University of London Internatio­nal programmes.

RIC and Deakin University in Melbourne

Since 2012, RIC in partnershi­p with Deakin University - Australia offers 3 Degree pathways in Engineerin­g, Science, Environmen­t and also a foundation programme for students who do not have the sufficient grades to enter the degree programme directly. This provides the opportunit­y for a Sri Lankan student to commence the degree at RIC and com-
