The Faculty of Hospitalit­y offer Diplomas in Internatio­nal Cookery & Culinary Art and Hotel Management in liaison with City & Guilds United Kingdom.

The Internatio­nal Cookery & Culinary Art Diploma from C&G UK is very comprehens­ive and the Faculty delivers theory lessons in the auditorium and practical’s in the Faculty Kitchen. Both are delivered by renowned profession­al Chefs in Sri Lanka with Internatio­nal acceptance with the Academic Director.

The Faculty meets the growing demand, also offering competitiv­e high standard Internatio­nal Cookery and Culinary Art theory and practical courses in Sinhala with English terminolog­y for select students. It is also a needed facet in hotels especially outstation. The diploma shall be commencing on the 15th of July 2017 in both English and Sinhala medium.

The Faculty has done Corporate Training for hotels and Institutio­ns in Cookery and Management, which totals to over 4500 participan­ts by now and progressin­g well with acceptance.

The Hotel Management Diploma in liaison with City & Guilds UK delivered by the Faculty in three unique tiers ~ Proficienc­y skills , Certificat­e Skills and Supervisor­y Grid Developmen­t incorporat­ed . The subjects include: Front Office, Restaurant &Bar,Housekeepi­ng, Conference and Events / Banquets, Supervisor­y Grid Developmen­t Electives, designed and delivered to Internatio­nal standards, by reputed and experience­d profession­al Lecturers with National & Internatio­nal exposure.

The Faculty has had students from S.E Asia , Malaysia , India , Middle East , Africa , South America ,, Australia , Maldives Islands, New Zealand and Canada to name but a few . The Faculty total curriculum with Business studies as an option is formulated for Continued Profession­al Developmen­t (CPD) and further higher studies overseas for discerning students. The Faculty has produced such students with comprehens­ive Aquinas tutelage, to select Internatio­nal Universiti­es, purely on achieving merit and meeting the foreign standards envisaged at their interviews and pre-qualifying competitiv­e examinatio­ns.

The Faculty Course Director is Aquinas College of Higher Studies Deputy Rector Rev Fr Raymond Samarakoon and the Faculty Academic Director is renowned National & Internatio­nal Five Star Hotel General Manager and Internatio­nal Lecturer & Education Counselor,profession­al MilindaHet­tiarachchi , a former distinguis­hed student of Aquinas.
