Digital Transformation issues at CMA National Management conference
The Institute of Certified Management of Accountants of Sri Lanka is organising its National Management Accounting Conference 2017, on July 17-19 on the theme “Digital transformation – a new strategic imperative” at the Cinnamon Lakeside, Colombo.
The Chief Guest will be Harin Fernando, Minister of Telecommunication and Digital Infrastructure and will speak on the topic “Delivering Digital Infrastructure for the Creative Economy”.
The inaugural session will have keynote speakers Richard Howitt the CEO of International Integrated Reporting Council (IIRC) who will speak on “Integrated Reporting as part of the next Generation of Corporate Reporting”, Prof Ho Yew Kee Associate Provost (SkillsFuture and Staff Development) Singapore Institute of Technology will deliver his address on the topic “Digital Transformation in the Accounting Profession” and Ravindran Devagunam - Chief Executive Officer of the International Strategic Cooperation Unit attached to the Malaysian Prime Minister’s Office.
The conference brings together local and regional expertise to help participants navigate through the inevitable challenges that they face today.
The CMA, being at the forefront of education and skill development for management accountants, has dedicated the final session of the conference to a panel discussion on “Building the Next Generation Accountants”. The session moderated by Dinesh Weerakkody, Advisor, Ministry of National Policies and Economic Affairs, will deal with national focus at a time when the nation is reaching out to be on par with leaders in the region.
