Soaring to success with Aspirations Education

The Aspirations International Education Exhibition 2017 was held for the 11th consecutive year on July 8th and 9th at Hilton Colombo. Each year we’ve consistently attracted growing numbers of prospective students and we have continued that trend this year as well. We were greeted with a magnanimous reception and the exhibition was an overwhelming success.

We had over 1000 students and 3000 visitors comprising of parents, siblings and friends, many of whom were very keen on learning more about the application process and the ideal country and university for them. The most prominent fact was that we had students who were serious about applying for a university and transferring instead of merely looking for an information kiosk.

We were very successful in achieving one of our key goals – Unite diverse institutions and destinations under one umbrella to reflect the variety available to prospective students. We had approximately 35 university representatives who visited our exhibitionon behalf of over 25 institutions from 14 diverse destinations ranging from well-known and established Australian stalwarts such as Monash University, University of New South Wales and Queensland University of Technology to new entrants, Xiamen University - China/Malaysia, Woosong University - South Korea and Šiauliai University –Lithuania.

The general consensus amongst all the university representatives was that they were pleasantly overwhelmed by the large, enthusiastic and committed crowd of students who were of a high pedigree. Sri Lankan students have begun realizing their potential and have come out of their shell. They have seen the world of opportunity that lies beyond the nation they were born and raised in. Our duty at Aspirations Education is to instill further confi- dence, edify both parents and students in the possibilities that exist and provide the path for a better future.

Furthermore, they acknowledged the dedication and support parents showed simply by accompanying their children and participating by asking in depth questions.

The representatives agreed that the servicesprovided by Aspirations Education was excellent in terms of managing the exhibition, generating strong publicity and awareness for the event and finally the hospitality extended towards the representatives themselves given the choice of the venue.

Overall, students and parents were grateful for the warm and empathetic approach we implement when guiding them. We believe in creating a rapport with our clients and many of them become an extended family of the organization, often returning years after completing their degrees abroad just to say thank you once again.
