Mahindra to set up its local office in Colombo

Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd is set to expand its wings in Sri Lanka by opening its local office in Colombo.

This was disclosed by Sanjay Jadhav, MahindrasV­ice President and Head of Internatio­nal Operations (South Asia) at the opening of “Ideal Vision Show’ in Colombo recently.

He noted that his company partnered with Ideal Motors in the first of its kind Lifestyle Auto Show in Sri Lanka.

He noted that the company has appointed Sagar Bhadkamkar, as the country head for Sri Lanka Operations, along with a team to focus on needs and aspiration of the consumers of the island nation.

Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd, a part of the US$19 billion Mahindra Group, showcased its full range of global mobility solutions at Ideal Vision auto show.

The event displayed the entire global range of 2 wheelers, passenger vehicles, electric vehicles, pickups, trucks and buses from the Mahindra stable alongside other businesses of the Ideal Group, Nalin Welgama, Founder and Executive Chairman Ideal Group revealed.

Mahindra Group will be introducin­g digitisati­on for Sri Lankan vehicle enthusiast­s as a key differenti­ator for business transforma­tion and connected vehicle technology, company officials said in a media release.

One such solution is DiGiSENSE, a technologi­cal solution that connects Mahindra vehicles, tractors, trucks and constructi­on equipment to the cloud, opening up a whole new dimension to the experience of vehicle ownership.

The group recently launched TRRINGO, an organized tractor rental service and Smart Shift, the digital marketplac­e for intra-city logistics.
