Pegasus Reef honoured with 19 Medals

The Pegasus Reef Hotel, Wattala, was honoured by 1 Gold Excellent, 2 Gold, 3 Silver and 13 Bronze medals at the 17th edition of the “Culinary Art and Food Expo”, the Platform of showcasing the skills of chefs commenced at the BMICH.

This exhibition was organised by the Chefs’ Guild of Sri Lanka and supported by profession­al exhibition organisati­on, CDC event and travel Pvt. Ltd and thousands of Sri Lankan Chefs took part in it.

Through this exhibition, the skilled chefs got an opportunit­y to present their innovative food creations to the public. The best recipes were selected for prizes and awards in different categories, chosen by a panel of local and foreign judges.

And Pegasus Reef won a grand total of 19

Of the numerous unique masterpiec­es, the most admired were the Dress the cake which brought Gold medal for Pegasus by Shashika Priyadarsh­ani, where Ruklantha Dilan Sanjaya won a gold medal for Vegetable Hot cooking live.

Another buzz starter was the Lion Beer/ Stout cocktail Competitio­n and Rumesh Ruwan grabbed the Gold Excellent for it.

Thivanka Madushan won a silver medal for 05 course set dinner menu, whilst Akila Madushan won 02 silvers for Artistic Showpiece (Chocolate) and Artistic Chocolate Showpiece (Salt)

Harsha Jayasingha, General Manager of Pegasus Reef Hotel gave his fullest support and blessings whilst Mr. Rohan Kurera, Executive Chef, Amith Kumarasing­he, Chef Artist and Jayawarden­a Rajapakse, Senior Sous Chef revealed their wining secrets and golden tips to the Pegasus Team.
