Pathway to USA for MBBS students from Segi University, Malaysia!!

-

Known as one of the largest private higher education providers in Malaysia, Segi now serves 25,000 students in five major campuses located in Kota Damansara, Kuala Lumpur, Subang Jaya, Penang and Sarawak. They offer an MBBS which is fully accredited by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA), signifying full compliance with standards laid down by the Malaysian Medical Council (MMC).

This course is also listed in the International Medical Education Directory (IMED) and is also recognized by the Sri Lanka Medical Council (SLMC). Segi’s MBBS students can forge a pathway to become a practising medi- cal doctor in United States by taking the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) during their time at Segi University. Through a partnership with Nugrahan, the official partner for KAPLAN Medical, Segi will offer this option on top of its core MBBS program, to allow students the opportunity to apply for a medical residency in the States.

Supported by Segi’s faculty, the program will groom students to become familiar with clinical practice, settings and US medical standards. If they opt in, students will need to take the USMLE tests during the second year of their studies at Segi, to determine their eligibility for a residency match. This is yet another way Segi aims to improve the candidacy of our students as well as their opportunities.

Besides Medicine, Segi University offers a variety of programs ranging from Business, Health Sciences and Engineering, to Hospitality, Communication and Education, amongst others.

You can meet the Segi University representative at the Seekers’ International Education Fair 2017, on the 19th and 20th of August from 10 am to 4 pm at the Kingsbury Hotel, Colombo. For further details, do contact
