Anarva Mount Lavinia by Siddhalepa opens

Anarva Mount Lavinia, the newest hotel by Ayurvedic medicine pioneer Siddhalepa was declared open last Saturday by President Maithripal­a Sirisena which was followed by another event for the trade on Sunday.

Anarva is the only city hotel with Sri Lankan authentic Ayurveda therapy and offers a wide range of Ayurveda treatment, and is located in the bustling town of Mount Lavinia.

Ayurveda (medical) tourism has been identified as the largest single source income generator in tourism and it utilises indigenous ingredient­s of Sri Lanka. The 98-room hotel offers suites and superior sea view and city view rooms on its eight-floor single block building which features double glazed soundproof windows for a restful sleep, the company said in a media release.

The suites also have the basic luxuries like master bedroom with king-size bed, private lounge with TV, in-room dining and also offers in-room treatment.

Anarva’s day and night restaurant serves Western and Ayurveda cuisine. The rooftop bar, Sky 348, by the infinity pool is ideal to wind down after a tiring day’s work. “The specially designed Ayurveda packages for body, mind and soul healing include a wide range of Ayurveda therapy in a spacious Ayurveda pavilion, with the ambience of calm, cool relaxation, coupled with regular yoga and meditation­s sessions. The city hotel offers conference and board room facilities. The rooftop banquet hall which accommodat­es 120 guests, offers full day and half day packages for conference­s,” the company said.

Anarva Mount Lavinia is planning to introduce a day-programme weekly aimed at releasing stress of busy managers and businessme­n. The 5 hour-programme is expected to cover a yoga session, Ayurveda therapy treatment, Ayurveda lunch and a meditation session.
