Diploma Awards Ceremony-2017 National Institute of Business Management

35th Diploma Awards Ceremony of National Institute of Business Management was held on 22nd and 23rd of August 2017 at Main Assembly Hall of Bandaranayke Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH) with the distinguished patronage of Honorable Chandima Weerakkody - Minister of Skills Development and Vocational Training, and Honorable Karunarathna Paranawithana - Deputy Minister of Skills Development and Vocational Training as chief guests. Prof. IR. Dr. Mohd Azraai Bin Kassim - Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer, UTM Space, Malaysia; Mr.Samantha Rajapaksa – Group Managing Director, Associated Motorways (Pvt.) Ltd.; Dr. Ajantha Dharmasiri - Director & the Chairman of the Board of Management, Post-Graduate Institute of Managemnet, University of Sri Jayawardenepura; and Ms. Varuni Sonali Fernando - Managing Director, Traid (Pvt.) Ltd. were the key note speakers for the four sessions of the event. NIBM Diploma Awards Ceremony is one of the most significant and glamorous events for which nearly 3000 Diploma Awardees and their parents were attended.

National Institute of Business Management – well known as NIBM to many – is the premier business school and the pioneer IT training institute in Sri Lanka which provides ample opportunities for the participants to follow their dreams. This year, nearly 3000 students were awarded diploma and higher diploma in the fields of Management, IT and English, which is the highest in the history of NIBM. For the diploma holders, this occasion was a significant milestone in their lives. At this point, they are ready to embark on a new chapter of their lives. They have experienced challenges and prepared themselves for the world as competent and skilled professionals who will keep abreast with developments in their respective fields. It was a proud day for them, for their families, friends and of course, for the faculty of NIBM who guided them and ensured teaching excellence, innovative teaching methods, curricula that provided flexibility with student-centered academic culture along with activities and sports.
