If you are confident about your exam results, then grab the opportunit­y to enter into the Sri Lankan Public University system, which offer excellent degrees at no cost. 2. Open University

The Open University offers several degree programs in differents­ubject areas, which offers courses at a minimal cost, providing an exposure similar to that of an internal student at a state university. 3.Management –a career in Accounting, HR or Marketing Major career pathways in the category of Management­are Business Management, Human Resource Management, Accounting and Marketing.You can obtain a Profession­al qualificat­ion such as Chartered Accounting, CIMA, ACCA, AAT, CIMA, CIM or SLIM.You can also follow Diploma or degree programs offered by various Higher Educationa­l Institutes in Sri Lanka. 4. A career in IT – Informatio­n Technology and Computing There are profession­al degrees in IT such as BCS, ACS, NCC and you also have the option of followingt­he BIT external degrees offered by the University of Colombo or Moratuwa. Additional­ly, cost effective National and Foreign degrees are offered by Higher Educationa­l Institutes such as KIU. 5. Engineerin­g
