Richmond's 'Haritha Udana 2017' Agro Exhibition, Sept.21-23

The Agro Technological Exhibition'Haritha Udana 2017', organised by Richmond College, Galle, will be held from Sept.21-23 from 9 am onwards, at the school premises.

The main objective of the exhibition is to promote Farming among schoolchildren and encourage students to consume healthy food, which will lead to a healthy future generation.

Richmond College is one of the very few schools that has a farm within its premises

The College Farm was founded in 1964, while in 1965, Agriculture was taught as a subject.

The exhibition will include stalls of various govt and private sector institutions and educational and professional service centres, which will provide knowledge on the use of organic fertilizer, micro gardening and gardening tips. A cultural show will also be held from 6 pm-9 pm every day, at the exhibition.

Schoolchildren will be permitted free entrance to the exhibition.
