You’re the Voice III - Concert in Support of nation-wide peace activities of Bridge2Peace
This work has earned the Founder & Directress of B2P & LPF, Mrs. Bernadine Anderson, a nomination in the “Untold Stories” category of the N-Peace Awards 2017.
Since 2009, the Peace Gang of Sri Lanka, whose peace-making activists are primarily the students, faculty, and families in the LPF and B2P Schools Networks, has launched a series of initiatives in the domains of community, environment, spirit, culture and self. For example: focussing on care of the environment, helping in relief efforts for IDP’s and in the wake of natural disasters like the tsunami, floods and droughts, training students in self-care through meditation, helping the elderly and the sick, awareness-creation programmes about the dengue epidemic, organic agriculture, environmental conservation, antipollution initiatives, and more.
Their annual fund-raiser, which also commemorates International Peace Day, is You’re the Voice, a peace concert. This year You’re the Voice III is on Sunday 24th September, at 5pm at the S. De S. Jayasinghe Hall in Dehiwela. The fantastic Flame is performing once more. Popular artistes Mariazelle, Ronnie Leitch, Niranjala Manjarie, Eshantha de Andrado, Shyamie Ratnam, as well as rap artistes Michael Ketigian, Peter Bozic and Ashan Dias will ensure a great variety of music styles to keep you entertained.
