Who is Sarah Bossard?

-

Sarah Bossard (35) is a Swiss film and television producer. The Berlin newspaper claims that Sarah Bossard comes from Sri Lanka. According to the film database IMDB.com , Sarah Bossard worked as a producer on films such as "Cargo", “Papa Moll”, “The Divine Order” and a “crime scene”.

Among the countries she visited is Sri Lanka, where she prepared the birthday party for Prema, a 9-year old girl in a village. In her couchsurfing.com account she describes the party as an “Amazing thing I have done”.

Admitting her openly homosexual relationship with Bossard, Alice Weidel sees no contradiction between her private lifestyle and her membership in the right-wing populist AfD. The far right leader said in the election campaign that she was in favour of keeping the statutory status quo.

When photographs showing Alice Weidel with her partner Sarah Bossard were published in April, she said: “The woman by her side - so far the biggest secret of the lawyer.”

However, an article in the Berlin newspaper suggests that Alice Weidel wants to keep her private life completely out of politics. The author writes about a meeting with the AfD top candidate: “She does not want to talk about her family either, actually. She agreed to the interview on condition that it will be about her politics, not about personal matters

Weidel and Bossard live in Biel (in the canton of Berne). They adopted two boys. Weidel also confirmed that the children of the couple live with their mother Sarah Bossard in Switzerland. That is why she has a temporary residence there. “My Swiss partner works in Switzerland, which is why I have a second home there. Our children live with their mothers, so I like every professional parent, of course, strive to spend the least time with my family when my family is not with me in Germany. “

It is not only German media that discussed Weidel’s homosexual relationship. In the United States, comedian Seth Meyres made fun of Weidel in his show “Late Night with Seth Meyers": “A lesbian was recently elected chairman of the German fascist party. If you’re wondering what lesbians and fascists have in common: the hairstyle!"

However, Meyers is wrong: Alice Weidel is not the chairman of the AfD (that is Frauke Petry and Jörg Meuthen), but together with Alexander Gauland the top candidate in the Bundestag election campaign. Alice Weidel probably does not care very much for the ridicule of a US comedian. The headlines of German media make her happy. In the end, it was 13 percent for the AfD.
