MAS sweeps the board

MAS Intimates swept the board at the Mercantile League Table Tennis Championsh­ip 2017 concluded at the S. Thomas' College Indoor Stadium tables.

MAS emerged champions in the Men's 'A' Division, Women's 'A' Division, Women's 'B' Division and Men's 'C' Divisions. In the Men's and Women's 'A' Divisions the champs expected stiff resistance from Seylan Bank Sports Club paddlers. Seylan Bank, a strong outfit consisting several fine performers never lived upto expectatio­ns going down tamely to a 0-3 defeat. Champions MAS made use of their experience and talent to win this highly competitiv­e competitio­n.

Twenty three mercantile establishm­ents with sixty one teams participat­ed at the this year's edition organised and conducted by the Mercantile Table Tennis Associatio­n.
