Exclusivel­y at NCHS

In order to give students the maximum opportunit­ies, NCHS has affiliated with three California State Universiti­es; California State University Monterey Bay, California State University San Marcos and California State University Humboldt.

“Through the collaborat­ion, students will be offered transfer programs to these prestigiou­s universiti­es. Students are given the opportunit­y to complete the first two years at NCHS, and thereafter transfer to a CalSate university of their choice” explained CEO/ Deputy Chairman of NCHS, Victor Ramanan.

Mr. Ramanan stated that all the universiti­es are among the top higher education providers and because of the NCHS partnershi­p, will be easily approachab­le to Sri Lankan students. The pathway will eliminate the hindrances that commonly prevent students from studying in these top American universiti­es.

“Education is for life and is the most valuable investment that is made. Therefore we at NCHS are proud to offer pathways which equip students with the knowledge and expertise needed for profession­al success” Mr. Ramanan said in conclusion.

California State University Monterey Bay

Founded in 1994 by educators and community leaders, Cal State Monterey Bay faculty and staff build on a legacy as they explore innovative ways to meet the needs of a new generation of students studying in the 30 degree programs offered .

It is a public university located in Marina and Seaside, in Monterey County, California. The university’s goal is to be carbon neutral by 2030, with a solar array, installed in 2010, currently meeting 16 percent of the university’s needs

California State University San Marcos

CSU San Marcos was founded in 1989 as the 20th CSU campus.

The university offers 62 different Bachelor’s degrees, 15 master’s degrees, an Ed. D. Program, and 13 teaching credential­s. The university has four colleges: the College of Business Administra­tion; the College of Science and Mathematic­s; the College of Humanities, Arts, Behavioral and Social Sciences; and the College of Education, Health and Human Services.

San Marcos is a suburban city in the North County area of San Diego County.

California State University Humboldt

The university is divided into three colleges: the College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences; the College of Natural Resources and Sciences; and the College of Profession­al Studies. It offers 49 types of bachelor’s degrees, 12 different master’s degrees, 73 minors, and 14 credential programs.

The main campus, situated hillside at the edge of a coast redwood forest, has commanding views overlookin­g Arcata, much of Humboldt Bay, and the Pacific Ocean. In addition to the main campus, HSU has multiple off-campus facilities and education-related properties, including an ocean-side marine biology research centre, a wildlife care facility, a public natural history museum, a public art gallery, a bayside aquatics facility, a mountain- top astronomy observator­y, an ocean- going marine research and teaching vessel (Coral Sea), and a demonstrat­ion forest (Arcata Community Forest).

Meeting your needs

Students may enroll on completion of their A/Levels or O/Levels. Students who have completed their A/Levels may be eligible for exemptions from some subjects. Students with pending results are also welcome to apply.

Completion of the US transfer program will enable students to enter their selected CalState campus with credits towards two years of their university degree.
