With its makeover in 2016, and the subtle redesign in 2017, the CX- 9 helped Mazda secure spots on both 2017 World Car of the Year and 2017 World Car Design of the Year for the second year in a row.

The proud fascia is designed with the KODO – Soul of Motion design ethos, which conveys that strength lies in proportion. A long hood, swept greenhouse, large wheels and short overhangs convey the stability and contained sense of ener- gy that is at the core of the 2017 CX-9. Its smooth lines start with a bold5- point grille with double bars, which are flanked on either side by standard low and high beam LED headlights, introducing the sleek curves.
When it comes to the interior of the 2017 CX-9’s interior, the first thing you notice is how spacious and sophisticated it is. Then the vertically stacked centre console with the sweeping single piece of aluminium that adorns the dashboard, emphasizes the width with a forward angled dashboard that is flanked with Auburn accents in the flagship Signature trim level. Inspired by Japan’s famous hand- made knives, the satin and polished finished on the aluminium plinth evoke Japanese craftsmanship.
