Message from the Chairman Organising Committee – People Development Awards 2016/17

I would like to congratulate all seventeen award winners at SLITAD People Development Awards 2016/17 held recently.

I was delighted to see that, as in previous years, we have an excellent range of nominations from all corporate sectors, presenting the panel with a formidable task in selecting the winners. I would like to congratulate all of the nominees on the excellent work reflected in the submissions, and in addition all those who dedicated their time and effort into the preparation of the nominations.

People Development Awards 2016/17 focused on people development initiatives on holistic framework bench marked with global and regional best practices. The Awards ceremony brought the leaders of people development to a single platform where their outstanding achievements were recognized and rewarded. The award holds a testimony to the results-oriented people development initiatives by the corporate sector in Sri Lanka adopted and practices to harness and sharpen the professional skills of the employees.

We would like to thank all our guests for attending SLITAD People Development Awards and of course our sponsors, partners and in-kind sponsors for their contributions.

As we conclude a successful award ceremony, we hope to welcome more institutions and corporate bodies vying for the awards next year.
