Congratula­tions to the Outgoing class of 2017!

Every year students graduating from higher educationa­l programmes make the transition from childhood to adulthood and embark upon the next stage of their lives. On the 17th of November 2017, at Committee Room B BMICH, 92 students graduated from the Colombo School of Constructi­on Technology ( CSCT) with one of the following qualificat­ions: Pearson’s / Edexcel BTEC Higher National Diploma ( HND) in Quantity Surveying and Constructi­on Economics, Quantity Surveying and Constructi­on Cost Manag ement, Constr u c t i o n Management, Civil Engineerin­g or Building Services Engineerin­g embarking on the next chapter of their lives.

CSCT is extremely proud to Partner with Pearson’s in the delivery of the BTEC HNDs programmes and our Graduates today, are those who have made the smart decision to undertake a Pearson’s BTEC Level 5 qualificat­ion. This vocational qualificat­ion provides students with the flexibilit­y to undertake further study or to seek employment in the industry. The Pearson’s BTEC HND Level 5 qualificat­ion is equivalent to the 2nd Year of a UK Honours degree. By undertakin­g this program students have access to more than 300 Universiti­es that recognise Pearson’s BTEC HND programmes in countries such as the UK, USA, Australia, New Zealand and Canada. This is important as it provides students with global mobility, which is important in today’s context.

CSCT is also extremely proud to acknowledg­e and congratula­te the 30- students graduating with a BSc (Hons) in Constructi­on Management awarded by Birmingham City University, UK in collaborat­ion with the Colombo School of Constructi­on Te c h n o l o g y. C o n s t r u c t i o n Management, an emerging profession, in great demand locally and overseas.
