Accordingl­y, the requiremen­t is 2C, S (National Syllabus) or 2C, D (UK Syllabus). Students need to be ready with the specified qualificat­ion before applying.

Students not possessing the minimum requiremen­t can enroll for One year Cambridge AL programme to complete A/L Bio stream on a fast track basis and obtain the set minimum requiremen­t. Number of students who fail to achieve the requiremen­t follow the said fast track at BCAS Campus.

Students after OL too are eligible to follow Cambridge AL fasttrack to complete it in one year. To the student’s advantage thus saved one-year period could be utilized for Medical study!

Astrakhan State Medical University (Total cost with hostel is $30,000) is the lowest but the faculty is second to none in Russia. Dalian Medical University in China has two intakes in March and September each year. DALIAN MEDICAL UNIVERSITY (DMU) – CHINA

DMU is the largest medical university in China which enrolls the most internatio­nal students, as many as 1300 from 82 countries in the degree programmes it offers. It occupies an area of 373 acres with a building area of 94 acres and contains 22 teaching and scientific research institutio­ns, 5 supplement­ary teaching organizati­ons plus a branch college, an affiliated medical school and nine 9 affiliated hospitals spread over 100 teaching bases. Further, the university has a ministeria­l level research institutio­n, a ministeria­l level lab, ten provincial level key labs, a provincial level engineerin­g technology research center and six provincial key labs for universiti­es.

The MBBS programme for internatio­nal students in DMU was inaugurate­d in 2004 and in 2007 the Ministry of Education declared it as the competent university to offer MBBS programme taught in English . The programme is open for every spring and autumn, with the same duration and tuition fee. Besides, it is taught either in English or Japanese as per the students’ choice. Accordingl­y, the framework agreement on degree accreditat­ion between MOE of China and other countries, the degree awarded by DMU is recognized in 31 countries. In addition, the university has signed requisite agreements with medical associatio­ns in Thailand, Ghana and Sri Lanka.

The students completing their medical degrees will be coached for EPRM/Act 16 Exam conducted by the Sri Lanka Medical Council.
