-

The Sri Lankan education system is undergoing rapid development at present. In particular, the higher education streams are driving towards new vistas in education and training to suit future challenges in various employment sectors. As a leading higher educational institution, CINEC Campus is heavily contributing to this development through the introduction of job oriented programmes, especially in the fields of Management, Education, and Law conducted by its Faculty of Management, Humanities & Social Sciences.

Consisting of four main Departments i.e. the Department of Logistics & Transport, Department of Languages & Education, Department of Business & Management Studies, and Department of Law; the Faculty is focused on introducing programmes that lead its graduates to secure jobs even before they obtain their Bachelors’ degrees. This is due to the recognition of CINEC’s one of a kind internship programme for which its students are placed in leading companies/ institutions in Sri Lanka. Subsequent to this training they obtain, CINEC graduates are absorbed either into the business of their training providers or being grabbed by the competitors due to gained knowledge during such training period.

Dr. Dan Malika Gunasekera, Dean of the Faculty gives a true leadership to the entire faculty with his outstanding knowledge and skills in administering education business as well as being a corporate laureate apart from his academic and professional background in the field of Law. According to him, the Faculty is fully geared up to conduct the existing as well as new programmes through its UGC approvals as well as partner universities from abroad.

Although, CINEC Campus was originally engaged in the delivery of maritime / shipping related programmes, it transformed its brand as a leading private higher educational institution that delivers a wide variety of academic programmes in all types of fields i n cl u d i n g Engineering, Management, IT, and English Language over a decade ago. Converting Students to Professionals

In its true sense as an education provider in the higher educational sector in Sri Lanka, CINEC Campus is not just another institution of learning. It’s truly ‘ a convertor of student to a professional’. The reason behind the success of CINEC as a leader in higher education sector is that the alumni of CINEC Campus are 100% employed. As mentioned earlier, CINEC’s students are absorbed into the corporate world as soon as they complete their academic studies and move into job training. It is mainly due to CINEC’s careful selection of subjects and syllabi that perfectly match the industry requirements. Considering the drop-out rate of the country’s higher educational institutions, CINEC secures an extremely low figure. This proves the quality and prominence of CINEC Campus’ educational excellence as a leading institution of higher education in Sri Lanka.
