NDB sees transactio­ns worth over Rs. 4 bln via Mobile Banking App

NDB celebrated reaching Rs. 4 billion worth of mobile banking transactio­ns in December 2017, prior to the end of a very successful year.

The bank introduced its user friendly Mobile Banking facility to customers in 2016 with the objective of bringing convenienc­e and creating a trusted platform to carry out their day to day banking needs simply via the mobile device, it said in a media release.

The NDB Mobile Banking app which has always been user friendly, also awarded Christmas Bonanza Vouchers of Rs. 2000 to over 150 new customers at the Arpico Hyde Park Corner after opening a new NDB account and re g i s t e r i n g for NDB Mobile Banking, in December 2017.

“NDB, within a short span of time, has supported in changing the traditiona­l means of banking and brought NDB’s banking services to your fingertips. With the NDB Mobile Banking app, customers can now bank at their convenienc­e and access their accounts and cards to carry out various secured transactio­ns from any mobile devices running iOS, Android or Windows. This comprehens­ive solution can be used by simply anyone on any mobile network to perform any transactio­n,” the release said.

Over the past year the bank saw an increasing number of users registerin­g for the service. NDB now has customers from many walks of life making use of its app to carry out their daily banking activities without a hassle. It has allowed customers in the outskirts of Colombo to instantly pay their other bank credit card bills without the burden of travel.

The app has also brought in great convenienc­e to busy travellers who need guaranteed security for their credit card transactio­ns. With the NDB Mobile Banking app customers now easily switch their credit/ debit cards on or off from wherever they are. With the many other options of banking such as fund transfers, paying utility bills and transferri­ng money to any other bank etc, customers now get more time to enjoy life, while saving both time and money without having to rush.

The bank strongly believes in making financial services more accessible to the dynamic working population since they require the ability to access informatio­n ‘ on the move’. In an era where practicall­y everything has made its way into the mobile and the Internet, NDB has made it possible for the Sri Lankan banking sector to provide super convenient services using up to date technology. NDB aims to enhance the app with timely features and add many more benefits to users in the near future.
