CIM Sri Lanka to hold its first Talking Point Programme for this year

‘ Ten Emerging Trends that will shape business in 2018’

The Chartered Institute of Marketing Sri Lanka will be hosting its first Talking Point Programme for this year under the theme ‘ Ten Emerging Trends that will shape business in 2018’ on 29th January 2018 at the Union Ballroom, Hilton Colombo Residences from 6.00 pm onwards. It will be an interestin­g thought provoking session with a panel of experts from the Economic, Research and Corporate sectors. The programme will highlight a list of key consumer trends that marketers should look out for in 2018 and other macro-economic and market trends expected to change the local business arena.

The speakers of the programme are Shiran Fernando, Chief Economist, The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, Abishek Hariharan, Associate Vice President and Head of S t r a t e g i c Planning, MullenLowe Sri Lanka, Brandon MorrisDire­ctor / CEO, AMW Capital Leasing & Finance PLC and Chitrangan­i Herat Gunaratne – Senior Consultant, Quantum Consumer Solutions pvt Ltd.

Charaka Perera, Head of Membership Developmen­t at CIM Sri Lanka stated “The main objective of the CIM Talking Point series is to initiate productive discussion­s within the marketing community and to impart knowledge on trending themes, challenges and opportunit­ies in the market. We believe this timely topic will be useful for the marketing fraternity to understand the emerging trends and to prepare for the year ahead. We hope to continue to add value to all the marketing profession­als through our Talking Point series”.

The Talking Point programmes are organized with the objective of highlighti­ng emerging themes in marketing / business and to discuss best practices to support strategic decisions for the future. This forum will bring together top Business leaders, CIM Fellow Members and Corporate Executives and it will be a platform for participan­ts to share and exchange key insights which would help them in making decisions in their own organizati­ons.
