SLIIT & Hemas Manufactur­ing (Pvt) Limited in partnershi­p to boost education

Uplifting higher education to a new, more efficient, effective, superior level, SLIIT and Hemas Manufactur­ing ( Pvt) Limited signed a MOU on educationa­l cooperatio­n between the two organizati­ons. The new partnershi­p between the two entities will help provide SLIIT with entry level and graduate level talent acquisitio­n opportunit­ies, including internship and training as well as career guidance, mentoring sessions and workshops that would be invaluable to students. Employer brand building will also be a part of the learning exercises. There will also be Hemas branded courses on the subjects of Logistics and Supply Chain.

The partnershi­p will also enable students as well as SLIIT staff to collaborat­e with Hemas on incubation and entreprene­urship developmen­t, paving the way to drive special projects of mutual interest that will help optimize the synergies of both organizati­ons.

The MoU was signed by Niranjan Perera, Director Human Resources and Mifaz Ahamed, Senior Manager Human Resource Developmen­t (HRD) who will lead the Hemas team. Prof. Samantha Thelijjago­da and Mano Weligodapo­la signed on behalf of SLIIT. The ceremonial signing of the MoU was followed by an exchange of plaques to commemorat­e the milestone.
