St. Anthony’s cruise to their seventh outright win

An allround performanc­e by Navodya Wijekumara, who made a half ton and a match bag of seven wickets along with Kalhara Senaratne who ended with a match bag of eight wickets guided St Anthony’s Katugastot­a to an innings and 83 run win over Royal Panadura at Katugastot­a yesterday.

The second day’s play saw Royal Panadura being left with a daunting task of saving the match as they were struggling in the second innings on 18 for 5. They were all out for 80.

Prince of Wales was making smooth progress against Wesley after having conceded a first innings lead on day one in the low scoring match at Campbell Park.

Nalanda after bowling out St Servatius Matara for a score of 89 held the edge when play stopped for the lunch break on day two at Campbell Place.
