Study Mechanical Engineering at one of the Best US Universities

AIC Campus American University Transfer Program

-

American International Campus – (AIC Campus) the leading and the most authentic American University Transfer program provider in Sri Lanka in partnership with California State University Sacramento State offer the best option to become a Mechanical Engineer in USA.

The 2+ 2 Sacstate Transfer program provides Sri Lankan Students the opportunity to Study two years at AIC Campus in Colombo or Kandy and Transfer to California State (SacState) to complete the balance two years and obtain a degree from one of the highest ranked universities in North America with a cost saving of over 60% of studying four years in the a US University.

Why Mechanical Engineering? – One of the most in demand and highest Paid professions in the world

Mechanical Engineering applies the principles of science and mathematics to the design of machinery and equipment used in transportation, manufacturing and energy conversion. Typically mechanical engineers are involved in the design, devel- opment, and testing of aircraft and spacecraft, transport vehicles, power plants, manufacturing equipment, computer peripherals, biomedical devices, robots, and climate control in buildings. This field is changing rapidly and many products currently being designed and built by mechanical engineers were not in existence a few years ago.

Why SacState for ME

Building on a base in mathematics, science, and engineering fundamentals, the Bachelor of Science ( BS) in Mechanical Engineering (ME) program includes courses on machine design, energy conversion, manufacturing, properties of materials, and includes an extensive application of computers in these areas. The curriculum maintains a balance among basic fundamentals, analytical methods, and design applications which prepare the graduate for both an entry into the engineering profession and long-term career.

Specializations Available

Design and Dynamic Systems

Manufacturing and Materials

Thermal and Fluid Systems

The BS ME program is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET

Special Features of the Program

The Mechanical Engineering program is ABET accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission (EAC/ ABET),Engineering Accreditation Commission (EAC/ABET).

In keeping with its accreditation, the Mechanical Engineering program has strong engineering design content. In particular, the program includes a four- semester sequence on modern design and manufacturing methods. Faculty members have backgrounds in Mechanical, Aeronautical, Manufacturing, and Materials Science. The faculty has a variety of research interests; the majority has industrial experience which contributes to the applied emphasis in the Mechanical Engineering program. Most of the faculty has doctorates; some are registered Professional Engineers (PE). Lectures and lab are arranged so students can participate in meaningful discussions and a real exchange of ideas between students and faculty.
